I clocked 50 hours at my full time job and going to the Ruby tonight. I don't think they will let me out early again tonight. I don't think I can carry on this way for very long.
The owner of the Ruby is a self-professed work-aholic. His day job is an arhitect. HIs wife is on the hospital board. They are both buys bees. He said something about my day off and said, "You must have been restless"
No. No I wasn't.

Basically they use their own abnormal work addiction as an excuse to show no empathy/sympathy towards anyone else who doesn't kill themselves working.

Sitting in my car downing dinner in between jobs.
Now to go to work on a full stomach but it just doesn't feel right. I mean I had a tamale, some chips and dip and fried food from the deli counter.

Well my Sunday shift on the boat was rather exciting and a little frightening.

As we were just passing the 1/2 way point on the lake we started to notice a fire and some smoke. It was at first assumed that it might have been smoke from a previous fire burning on the other side of the ridge. As we got closer to it we realized the location and that it was close to the water and to homes in that area.
My friend runs a B&B and the fire was right behind her and she didn't know. I had sent a video to her fb messenger and as soon as we were in cell range I called her and told her she needed to prepare to leave. She had several guests staying at the B&B as well and they needed to get out.

I believe there was a home and some structures lost, but everyone got out safely. It is now traveling up hill and hopefully is not near structures anylonger.
