Crap - sounds serious:

Yeah, major issues. Still trying to troubleshoot. Possible hack attempt. MySQL databases are intact though so shouldn't lose much if a backup is needed although it might be a while before everything is working again.

I think I'm going to create an account for him here, in case he wants to post updates or just rant -- he still hasn't ever signed up.
