How is it during the winter months? Is it a year-round community or seasonal?

People were being stupid and annoying at work yesterday. I don't know what it is about Mondays…

Slow and boring.
There are people that live there year round. But not many.

There is a spacious place available for rent that has extra rooms, I could have guests. That is a bonus. I need to write a pro/con list.

Whenever I talk to my sister she tells me to negotiate for more, she isn't wrong, she doesn't get caught up in the "coolness" of the job and asks how much I can save for the future and tells me it is a workers market now and to demand much more and don't settle. SHE ISN'T WRONG!!

Indeed! And you could ride a boat to get to me.

I just applied for another office job. Go me.

Here is a job description for someone looking for 20 hours in Seattle

I am an attorney and need a personal assistant to help monitor correspondence, slack/chat communication, maintain calendar, order Uber Eats, run errands, and take my dog for a walk

People are like, "There is soooo much work out there!" "Its a worker's choice, blah blah blah blah blah" "There are soooo many jobs out there"

That is correct. Sooo many. I am just looking at them.
Everyone needs everything right now.

I have another interview in a couple of hours.
omg

It is for a job that I think will be really rewarding. It doesn't get me out of the area, but it is full time w/ medical and includes stuff like cell phone stipend, mileage stipend and bonuses and retirement.

Sheesh! Whats the catch?! LOL

The interview tomorrow is for a transportation company I have used and appreciate thier services. They are looking for a manager. In fact the owners use our transportation services! Ironic!
I was looking up the company, followed thier social media links and made the mistake of seeing the owners personal pages and choice of religion. Also during the initial phone interview she admitted she knew she shouldn't do this-but she asked me how old I was! Ugh.
So I go in to the interview with lots of questions!
And also....a feeling I need to get away from this place....this very conservative place.

So she admitted to violating the rules about what you can ask? Brilliant.

Yep.
In the interview she asked if I have children.

Luckily that place wasn't one of the ones offering me jobs today. So now I have 2 job offers and I think I have decided to go in an entirely different direction. Stay tuned!

I feel so wishy washy with this job search and life changing decisions! (is it really "life changing" or is it just life living?)

I will probably take the local job.
But the place next to my moms is coming up for rent. I would sort of love to live next to my mom. So I have started applying for places near her-which include some ferry jobs.

I am sad that my family is not more excited about my remote job. Makes me want to do it out of defiance and that is no reason to take a job.

I just wrote my first negotiation letter. And even if they say yes to my requests I still don't know if I will accep the job. I am not ready to move, pack everything up and live further away from my family, even tho they are jerks! :D

I am not convinved about the local job either. I think I just feel tired.
I need a break.
More than a day off. Something.
I'm tired.

But my hope is that I can find something so that I can take long term vacations, day off etc etc.
