I didn't go in to work today! Sore throat y'know.

But I did email the gal that sent the message and I just told her that this year has been hard and I am strugglling and I am appreciative, but cannot afford a donation, or only a small one.
She replied with that was okay, and she didn't expect to reach the goal-but just something towards it.

And you are right Eggs, there are some that forget what it is like if you aren't part of one of the families that work there.

OMG I didn't know anyone responded to this thread yet! It didn't come up in my new posts!!!!!!

I like "Post Mistress Mirah!" Oh yeah! Now I really will be disapointed if I don't get it.

AND I know there are a lot of....um people who may vote a certain way there! IF THEY VOTE AT ALL!

There are definitely some characters there. OMG could I do this job?! Would I be ethical enough?!

Also, I think I fucked up the application process for that job-but thats okay. Its complicated-I mean the fact that it is low pay and they don't house you and there really is no where to live.....it isn't ideal....but also it is fun to think about.

I've been applying to some random jobs in random places-and then I ask myself, "What did I just do?"

So.....now the Post Master position became open and I applied for that tonight. (Like a Dumbass) It has higher pay and benefits are better. This time I got an acknowledgement that I applied.

I tell you I would actually be excited to do this and to live uplake. I am still applying for other jobs as well. I guess the quirkier the better. Its like I look at a job opening and see "Monkey involved, may be screaming babies, horse back rides, and occasionally waking up at 4 AM" and I'm like, "OMG, this looks like the perfect job for me!"

Another Saturday.
Alone.
Working all by myself. Just like I've done much of the summer and the summer before that.
Yes I know it is not summer anymore, but our season goes until the middle of October.
The other office gals will complain if they have to be by themselves once on a weekday, but fucking pull a Saturday morning shift, then tell me your woes.

As soon as i sent out the message that I was going to be done for the day I get all the replies back.

Yesterdays boat day there were 3 lovely dogs that I was in the middle of a snuggle fest. It is why BOAT DAYS ARE SO IMPORTANT!!!!!

I had a phone interview for the post master position today.

Somebody really needs to talk me out of this job.

I had to apply for it to be considered and to be able to ask the important questions. It makes no sense to do this job.
