I'll be working on my birthday too -- birthdays suck when you work virtually, sometimes they don't even remember and it goes unremarked in work chat except by your closest friends/coworkers...

AT LEAST ITS THE WEEKEND or something lol

I mean yeah, at least the 4th is on a Saturday. At least my birthday will be on a Saturday in 3 more years!

I imagine saying something like, "OKay here is your receipt for your transaction, also Happy Birthday to me"

I just had 2 short shifts and now the rest of the week will be long shifts w/ only 1/2 hour lunches. Yikes!

Sorry you have to work on your birthday too Eggs!

We are now required to wear masks at all times indoors (at work) like before we could take our mask off if we had no customer.

Still dealing with clients who aren't good at communicating their needs, and are constantly penny-pinching every hour of work.

I just want to make pretty slides and proofread -- talking dollars is icky.

I chatted with the gal at the teriyaki shop today, which is where I go frequently for lunch. She also worked on her b-day. the 14th. She said she was at work until 930. Her mom had made a nice dinner for her and all she did was go home and go to sleep.

Today I got off work early and I am determined to get out on the water and have some fun dammit! But I got home and am now sitting in the AC and I don't want to leave!
