I wanna dance with somebody

How did Whitney Houston's life escape me all of these years? And why did watching the movie "I wanna dance with somebody" make so much sense to me that I always loved her songs and now watching that movie I can see why the songs spoke to me on another level that I wasn't aware of. Is that even possible? And then I felt a sadness that she is no longer here and I want to know more.

Is the movie any good? I'm always skeptical of biopics of people I knew in my lifetime because I already know the real story...

The reviews said it was a lame tired biopic, but I enjoyed it.
